We had a great start to the school year.  Our teachers spent time explaining rules and procedures.  Our students all successfully navigated the middle school and set the tone for a great year.  On Wednesday and Thursday we administered the NWEA assessment to all of our students.  This test will provide our teachers with important data about our students.  It will guide our instruction based on our students proficiency on standards in math, reading, English usage, and science.  We also hope to share the data with the students and set up goals for each of them and create a personal learning plan for them!  I am very optimistic about the 2017-18 school year and I look forward to working with you. If you have any questions of comments, please do not hesitate to call, email, or stop in for some coffee!  Remember, we are all on the same team with the same goal: THE BEST EDUCATION FOR OUR KIDS!

Saturday & Sunday, September 9 & 10 from 11am - 2pm

Stop by the Hill City Quilt Show and help create an altered penny quilt- a collection of uniquely designed roundish elements that are loosely sewn together- with art teacher Gina Kassube. Kids can come at any time during that period to create their element, and parents should plan on at least 15 - 30 minutes for the process.

Admission to the Quilt Show is free for kids 18 & under, $5 for adults.

The Hill City Quilt Show 2017 is brought to you by the Hill City Quilt Show Committee and the Hill City Arts Council
