I grew up just outside of Rapid City where I went to school at St. Thomas More. After I graduated high school, I earned my Bachelor's in English with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Wyoming in 2017. I decided to go back to school in 2020 and earned a post-baccalaureate degree in secondary education in 2021. I began teaching freshman and sophomore English in Hill City in the fall of 2021. In 2022, I was excited to be able to move to the middle school to teach 6th-8th English Language Arts.
When not in school or teaching, I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and going anywhere I can take my dog, Ollie. I spend a lot time reading and deciding what books my students might like to read. I also enjoy painting, making blankets, and writing poetry.
